Cub Scouts            Pack 810
In Abingdon, Md. at St. Francis de Sales Church
Camping
The centerpiece of the Cub Scout year. You can do all your scouting stuff here, from
campfires to crafts to BB guns to archery to boating to swimming to funny scouting
songs, skits and cheers. You don't have to cook for yourself, either. Pack 810 usually
goes in early July. Camp Oest is the Cub Scout section of the Broad Creek Memorial
Scout Reservation in northern Harford County.
Family Camps
Pack 810 holds a few family camping trips every year. Parents, siblings and other
relatives are welcome for a relaxed camping experience. We usually camp at Elk Neck
State Park, Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation, or Sandy Point State Park.
Watch the
Upcoming Events page for scheduled trips. Dens sometimes organize their
own family camping trips.

Camporees
Special Harford District camping events in the Spring and Fall. Watch the Upcoming
Events page for scheduled trips.

Harford Day Camp
No tents or sleeping bags for this one, but a great way to get a head start during the
summer on badge requirements for the coming year. Ever wonder how some kids got
loaded down with new badges, pins and belt loops at the September pack meeting?
They probably earned them at Harford Day Camp. Held in June.

Camping Checklist
A checklist born of the hard experience of a guy (Mr. Scott) reintroduced to camping by
Cub Scouts after a long hiatus. Learn from my mistakes like stumbling through the dark
because I (Mr. Scott) didn't bring any flashlights or being unable to drink coffee that
someone else brewed because I (Mr. Scott) didn't have a cup.
