Boys will need to have an official Cub Scout shirt (short-sleeve or long-sleeve). They are navy blue. Webelos can continue to wear the same shirt or switch to a Boy Scout khaki shirt. Each boy should have a rank-appropriate hat, neckerchief and neckerchief slide. Most advancement patches are provided by the pack when a scout achieves a rank or award. There are a small number of patches to obtain, however. * The Baltimore Area Council patch (yellow with a crab on it). * Three white numbers on red backgrounds (8, 1 and 0 for Pack 810). * A purple scouting patch. * Den number patch, wait until you find out your den number before buying this patch. The official blue Cub Scout belt is also a good idea -- the boys will earn lots of belt loops that are designed to fit onto that belt. Boys should wear blue pants with the scouting shirt. They do not need to be "official" scouting pants, which are expensive for how quickly the boys tend to outgrow them. Click on the images below to see where patches belong.
